Silicone Mold

Silicone molding (molding) is a manufacturing technique used to transform uncured (unvulcanized) silicone rubber into a pre-defined shape. Compression molding is one method of silicone molding production, in which the uncured silicone rubber material will be placed between two halves of a pre-heated tool mold.

Food-grade silicone molds are used to form all sorts of whimsical confections, including chocolates, ice pops, and lollipops. Since silicone can handle heat up to 400° degrees Celsius, molds can be used in cooking, too.
